The City of Cape Town authorities say the Disaster Coordinating Team is being activated to deal with adverse weather conditions being predicted.
The Weather Service issued an orange level six warning.
Heavy rainfall, damaging winds and snow can be expected from tomorrow until next week.
Disaster Risk Management Spokesperson Charlotte Powell says the Coastal Management Department has also advised that wave action may impact the coastline along Sea Point and Milnerton.
She says the public should stay steer clear of the coastal areas.
