Tuesday nights MTN8 semi-final first leg between Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates has been postponed due to bad weather wreaking havoc across the Mother City .
The two clubs were due to lock horns at the Cape Town Stadium in Greenpoint at 7pm on Tuesday, but will now play the game on Wednesday at 6.30pm, the PSL announced.
The decision to postpone the match was made following the advice from the City of Cape Town authorities and stadium management, who reported gale-force winds averaging speeds of 67 km/h, the PSL said in a statement.
The adverse weather has led to collapsed buildings, blocked roads due to fallen trees, and impacted stadium facilities.
Tickets purchased for [Tuesdays] match will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture.
