Cape Town Airport Records Over Half A Million Arrivals This December

Cape Town International Airport recorded a 3 year-on-year increase in passenger arrivals this December, signalling growing confidence in Cape Town as a premier global destination, Cape town Etc reports.

With 533,829 arrivals in total, the numbers align with forecasted growth, showcasing a strong festive season for one of Africa's prime destinations.

The Airport received a total of 160 537 international arrivals, 10 491 regional arrivals and 362 222 domestic arrivals.

Notably, the most growth came from regional arrivals, which surged by 22.5, highlighting Cape Town's appeal to neighbouring countries.

International arrivals increased by 3.7, while domestic travel, which accounts for the most considerable portion of passenger numbers, grew by 2.3.
