President Samuel Etoo Fils of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has sanctioned the suspension of the countrys mens national team coach Marc Peter Brys for a period of three months and a second time since his appointment in May this year.

The move from FECAFOOT comes barely 24 hours after coach Brys refused to share the dugout with FECAFOOT imposed staff during Cameroons goalless draw away to Zimbabwe on match day two of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The decision to suspend the Belgian despite his descent start to life as Cameroon coach was contained in a release issued by FECAFOOT and signed by its Secretary General, Blaise Djounang this Wednesday on the sidelines of an emergency meeting of the Executive committee members of the institution chaired by president Samuel Etoo Fils.

The release reveals a number of violations from the Belgian gaffer. Per FECAFOOT, Brys is reproached for insubordination, non-communication, disrespect of hierarchy, inciting players against some FECAFOOT appointed members of staff, non-signing of his contract amongst others.

The move to suspend the trainer barely 24 hours after a hard-fought draw away to Zimbabwe and on the heels of a FIFA window which Cameroon picked up four points from a possible six has been considered some sort of witch hunting from the perspective of pundits especially as FECAFOOT never approved the appointment of the coach or signed his contract.
