FECAFOOT have confirmed hints of a rusty relationship with One All Sports (OAS) and terminated their collaboration with the brand OAS replaced Lecoq Sportif in October 2022 as the Indomitable Lions kits FECAFOOT says they will continue using the kits while seeking for a new partner The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) have announced they are terminating their relationship with supposed Thailand based cloth manufacturer, One All Sports (OAS) due to breach of contract. The announcement was made via a release signed by FECAFOOTs Secretary General, Blaise Djounang on Tuesday, August 6, less than two years after the clothing firm was controversially signed up to replace Lecoq Sportif as the Indomitable Lions kits provider. The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) hereby announces to the national and international public opinion the termination of its partnership with One All Sports, FECAFOOT wrote in a communique on their social media handle. FECAFOOT then added an extract on the communiqu which hinted on the circumstances of the divorce. The Cameroon Football Federation attached great importance to the proper execution of contractual commitments made freely by the partners. For this reason, it has decided to terminate this contract. One all Sports sign up to kit the Indomitable Lions just before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, for an undisclosed fee. The decision not to publish the financial consequences of the collaboration initially sparked controversy. President Samuel Etoo in a one-on-one conversation on Canal 2 International revealed the details. According to Etoo on the occasion of that famous outing, OAS took an engagement to provide a VIP standard bus for the national teams, provide kits worth 655 millions FCFA and pay the sum of 1 billion FCFA to FECAFOOT per year, for a period of three years. Unfortunately, these promises have not been met, thus leading to FECAFOOTs decision to terminate the contract. FECAFOOT however explained that the national team will use the kits for the last time during the September FIFA window while they embark on the search for a new kits provider. Before now, it was rumoured that government was planning to probe into the matter to seek clarity on the agreements terms of the One All Sports deal. Termination of this OAS deal a year before the end of the contract may birth another legal battle between FECAFOOT and the provider as it was the case with Lecoq Sportif which ended up costing Cameroon 491 millions FCFA on settling compensation for breach of contract. The termination of this One All Sports deal becomes the second kits provider deal terminated by Samuel Etoos executive at FECAFOOT in just under three years at the helm of the institution. One all Sports hasnt issue a reaction to the situation though the public and media anxiously await that. Moving forward, the Etoo-led FECAFOOT must carefully consider its options and take decisive action to ensure Cameroons interests is served before any agreement is signed with another provider.
