Busa, which has organized a B20 event in Cape Town in February under the theme "Inclusive Growth and Prosperity through Global Cooperation," is set to play a key role in developing recommendations for heads of state, particularly in areas like trade and infrastructure development. However, the BBC, which primarily represents black business interests, claims to have been excluded from the B20 process.
BBC CEO Kganki Matabane has called on Busa to desist from claiming to represent all of South Africa's business community, criticizing what he described as Busa leaders self-appointment to positions such as B20 sherpa and chair. This dispute highlights ongoing divisions within South Africa's business sector as preparations for the G20 summit continue.
