BUA Gypsum Plaster Ltd. Launches Nigerias Largest Gypsum Manufacturing Plant
BUA Gypsum Plaster Ltd., a subsidiary of BUA Group led by Nigerian billionaire Abdul Samad Rabiu, has officially started operations at its newly completed Plaster of Paris P.O.P. and plasterboard manufacturing facility in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This state-of-the-art plant represents a significant milestone for the BUA Group, highlighting its growing presence in Africas industrial and manufacturing sectors.
With a production capacity of 2,400 tons per day, the facility is now the largest gypsum plaster plant in Nigeria. The plants opening is poised to transform the local market by meeting the increasing demand for plaster products and reducing the nations reliance on imports. This move aligns with BUAs broader goal of enhancing self-sufficiency in critical sectors.
This milestone aligns with BUAs commitment to enhancing value chains across industries, stated Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group. The commencement of production at BUA Gypsum Plaster Ltd. reflects our dedication to driving infrastructure development in Nigeria and West Africa. This facility will support the housing and construction sectors, reducing dependence on imported products.
To mark the launch, BUA is offering a special introductory offer for distributors. Companies that register by December 31, 2024, will be able to purchase products at an ex-factory price of ?8,000 5.1 per bag. This initiative is designed to promote local manufacturing while providing added value to business partners.
In line with its customer-focused strategy, BUA Gypsum Plaster Ltd. will exclusively open distribution access to registered companies. Interested distributors are required to complete their registration by the December 31 deadline in order to participate.
