Dangote Refinery Set Ablaze
A section of Dangote Petroleum Refinery, located in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, experienced an outbreak of fire on Wednesday.
In a trending video, a PUNCH correspondent saw a cloud of thick smoke billowed into the sky from the facility.
The sound of an explosion could also be heard in the video.
The cause of the fire is, however, yet unknown as of the time this report was filed.
However, when contacted, the Group Chief Branding Communications Officer, Dangote Industries Limited, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the fire incident to the PUNCH correspondent in a terse message.
