Bongani Zungu Joins Amazulu Midfield Star Brings Winning Mentality And Eyes Silverware

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu has finally landed himself a new club. On Tuesday, Zungu was officially unveiled by the KwaZulu-Natal-based club AmaZulu after signing on a free transfer.

Zungu has been without a club since leaving Sundowns at the end of last season, and has been linked with both Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in that time.

However, AmaZulu, co-coached by former Kaizer Chiefs boss Arthur Zwane have won the race for his signature.

Speaking on his decision to join AmaZulu, who find themselves all the way down in 13th place in the Betway Premiership, said his personal goal was to help the club climb up the league while also having an influence on the younger players. And, he also targeted trophies.

Everywhere Ive played, Ive managed to win trophies, and I want to bring that same winning mentality here. I know what it takes to win, and its my aim, the 32-year-old midfielder was quoted by KickOff on Tuesday.
