Bma Working With Zimbabwe To Prevent Entry Of Illegal Immigrants

The Border Management Authority BMA says its working with its Zimbabwean counterparts to prevent illegal immigrants from entering South Africa.

BMA Commissioner Dr Michael Masiapato assessed readiness at the biggest land port, the Beitbridge Border Post, between Zimbabwe and South Africa yesterday ahead of the end of the festive season.

The border post is a critical gateway linking South Africa with the Southern African Development Community SADC region.

Authorities launched a crime-fighting campaign yesterday to address pressing challenges.

Dr Masiapato says they expect to see an increase in vehicles and people towards the end of the weekend.
