Billboard Music Awards: Tyla Wins Two Afrobeats Categories Ahead Of Tems, Asake, Burna Boy Full List

South African singer Tyla achieved dual wins at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, held on Thursday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Tyla secured two major victories in the Afrobeats categories, triumphing over Nigerian stars Asake, Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems.

The rising star won Top Afrobeats Song for her global hit Water and also took home the Top Afrobeats Artist title.

These accolades add to Tylas impressive year, which has seen her dominate the international Afrobeats scene with a total of eight nominations at the Billboard awards.

Since the start of 2024, Tyla has consistently outperformed some of Africas biggest music names.
