Former Cameroon international Bill Tchato Mbiayi Jackson says poor preparations prevented Cameroon from getting maximum points against the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Tuesday in Kampala in their match day 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier outing .
According to the former team manager and General Coordinator of the Cameroon national team, events in the build up to the game didnt help the teams desire to win and again highlighted the basics of the football.
Football doesnt lie, the 2002 AFCON winner stated before adding; Zimbabwe was within our reach. We saw everything that happened. You cannot prepare well and hope to play a good match.
Cameroon arrived in Uganda on Saturday after their 1-0 win over Namibia, but have not had any training sessions in the past 48 hours. The team had planned a training session on Sunday upon arrival and another on Monday at noon at the Mandela National Stadium.
However, due to the Uganda vs Congo match, Mondays session was moved to 5pm at the Kampala International School.
