Big 1 Million Pitch Competition Opens For Sa Startups

The South African Future Trust and Startup Club ZA have launched an ambitious Big 1 Million Pitch competition aimed at empowering local startups, reports Cape town Etc .

This unique initiative seeks to showcase innovative early-stage businesses aspiring to tackle significant market challenges through technology.

Ten startups will compete in each of our two regional qualifiers, held in Johannesburg April and Cape Town August, respectively. The top five from each will advance to the grand finale at this year's South African Future Trust Summit, held at the Sandton Convention Centre in October.

Startups in this competition have a chance to win a staggering 1 million, which is equivalent to around R18 million. This prize is set to be the largest in South African startup history and is intended to provide a significant boost to entrepreneurial ventures eager to make their mark in a competitive landscape.

According to Startup Club ZA, contestants must present disruptive solutions that not only solve a substantial problem but also demonstrate the potential for scalable commercial value.
