Beloved Shopping Mall In The Heart Of The City Now For Sale

The sale of the well-known shopping mall, located in the Citys iconic CBD since the 1970s, was confirmed by the Competition Commission on Monday, 17 February 2025.

The Golden Acre, perfectly located on the corner of Adderley and Strand street, opened for business in 1979 and has expanded its array of stores and businesses ever-since.

Stores housed in the shopping mall include those involving food, clothing, health and beauty products, furniture and outdoor gear.

The shopping mall is surrounded by a taxi rank as well as a bus terminal, serving as a haven of sorts for commuters awaiting the arrival of their transportation.

According to BusinessTech , the Competition Commission approved the sale on Monday, 17 February 2025.
