The highly anticipated Easter Bayhill Soccer Tournament starts today, attracting both players and spectators from across the region.

As part of the celebrations, a spectacular fireworks display is scheduled for Friday night, promising to light up the sky and create an electrifying atmosphere for fans.

Belhar Community Safety has urged residents to be mindful of the potential stress that fireworks can inflict on pets. The loud noises and bright lights, while festive for many, can lead to anxiety and fear in our furry companions and disturb the natural tranquillity of local wildlife.

• Close windows and curtains: Prevent the sounds and sights of fireworks from entering your home.
• Play soft music or turn on the TV: Gentle background noise can help to mask the sounds of fireworks and soothe anxious pets.
• Ensure pets have ID tags: In the rare case they become startled and escape, having proper identification will increase the likelihood of a safe return.
