The Cape Peninsula Baboon Management Joint Task Team CPBMJTT has announced that NCC Environmental Services will oversee baboon ranger services across affected areas during December, reports Cape town Etc .
The City of Cape Town has appointed NCC to deploy baboon rangers from 1 to 31 December 2024 to help keep troops in their natural habitat.
With fewer rangers due to limited funding, residents and businesses are urged to manage waste responsibly and remain vigilant.
The CPBMJTT is working on transitioning to a more sustainable urban baboon programme involving communities and stakeholders.
