Tunisias Stade Tunisien and Al Hilal Benghazi of Libya claimed away wins as the 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup season got rolling on Friday.

In Benghazi, Al Hilal, playing as the away team against Ugandas Kitara FC, claimed a thrilling 3-2 triumph.

The Libyan visitors went 2-0 up inside the first 21 minutes thanks to goals from Mohamed Shaaban and Talha Rizk, but the East Africans brought themselves back into the game via Brian Ahebwa.

Al Hilal reclaimed a two-goal cushion via Faisal Elbadry, but needed to hang tough in the final portion of the game thanks to an 80th minute strike from Kitaras Denis Omedi.
