Attorney In Court For Theft Of Road Accident Fund Money
An Eastern Cape attorney is alleged to have stolen money from the Road Accident Fund RAF that was meant for his clients.
Masixole Bangiso, 41, from Masixole Bangiso Attorneys appeared in East London Magistrates Court on Monday, September 9.
He was arrested on the same day as his court appearance by members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation known as the Hawks.
The provincial spokesperson for the Hawks, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, said the arrest was made by the Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation team based in East London.
It is alleged that on April 18, 2021, at Fitz Patrick Street in East London at approximately 6pm, the complainant was involved in a motor vehicle accident as a passenger in a bakkie, Mgolodela said.
