Arsenal will host Manchester United in the FA Cup third round next month, featuring the competitions two most successful clubs. United, the defending champions with 13 titles, last won in the previous season, while Arsenal, holding a record 14 titles, last won in 2020. The match is scheduled for the weekend of January 11-12 at the Emirates Stadium.
Manchester City, the 2023 winners and recent runners-up, will host fourth-tier Salford, owned by United's Class of 92 David Beckham, the Neville brothers, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, and Nicky Butt. Liverpool will face League Twos Accrington Stanley at home. Chelsea will play Morecambe, the bottom team of the fourth division, and Newcastle will face another League Two side, Bromley.
Tottenham was drawn against Tamworth, one of the two non-league clubs remaining, while Dagenham and Redbridge will travel to play Millwall. The third round sees the entry of 44 Premier League and Championship clubs, joining the 20 lower-league and non-league teams that advanced from the previous round.
