Areas Affected By Planned Water Outages In Cape Town This Week
The City of Cape Towns Water and Sanitation Directorate has announced that planned work from 19 to 21 November will result in water supply disruptions in certain areas, Cape town Etc reports.
Residents in the affected areas are encouraged to take note of the maintenance that will take place and to prepare accordingly, according to a press statement issued by the City .
Maintenance work will include pipe and valve installations, and repairs and replacements residents being advised to store enough water in advance, as a precautionary measure.
The affected areas include: Radloff Park, Golden Acre, Roundhay, Natures Valley, Morningside, Land En Zeezicht, Lionviham and Parel Vallei in Somerset West. The water supply to these areas will be shut off from 10am until 4pm on Tuesday, 19 November , which would allow the maintenance team to install a pressure-reducing valve on the water supply main to these areas.
In Westridge in Somerset West , water supply will be shut off from 9pm on Tuesday, 19 November , overnight until 4:30am on Wednesday, 20 November .
