Ming-Chi Kuo says that the upcoming iPhone 18 models, which will be launched in 2026, are equipped with a 2nm chip. This chip has the ability to make the upcoming iPhone 18 much faster and more efficient than the previous models. There will be lower-end iPhone 18 models and those are equipped with a 3nm processor. At that time, users will have to pay more money for the 2nm models and that can be found only on the higher-end models, that is iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
This is not so surprising, right? Because Apple is continuously integrating its lower-end iPhone models with less powerful chips. For example, the latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come with an A18 chipset, while the higher-end iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max come with an A18 Pro chipset.
