The African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa says that the party will crack the whip for underperforming deployees. Ramaphosa made the comments at the opening of the ANC Lekgotla in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni.
The ANC President says the failure to hold ANC leaders accountable has resulted in the organizations decline.
The recurring theme during the NEC during the past three days was that we must be much more vigorous and earnest about accountability and consequence management for acts of ill-discipline and those who transgress the rules of our movement.
The party lost its majority in the May 29 poll, which led to the formation of the Government of National Unity (GNU).
The Lekgotla follows the ANC National Executive Committee meeting.
