Anc Supporters Arrive At Mandela Park Sport Complex In Khayelitsha

African National Congress ANC supporters are arriving at the Mandela Park sport complex in Khayelitsha, where the party will be celebrating its 113-th year of existence.

Party big wigs have been criss-crossing the Western Cape all week, in the run up to todays big celebration. ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver the partys January 8th Statement before noon today.

There is a very strong police presence around the Mandela Park sport complex, where the ANC is expecting at least 22 000 party faithful.

Khayelitsha is an ANC strong hold, in a province governed by the Democratic Alliance DA since 2009.

Long queues have started to form outside the venue, with people taking up their seats.
