The ANC in Mangaung, Free State, says it welcomes the arrest of the suspects caught on camera committing acts of criminality against people of Bloemfontein.

Nine people have been arrested following video footage that went viral on social media depicting violent attacks on people in the Bloemfontein CBD.

A woman is seen in the video being forcefully pulled out of a vehicle by six men while robbing her.

In another incident, a man is assaulted and pickpocketed by a group of men in full view of people.

The party says successful conviction will send a strong message that Mangaung is not a criminal den.
