Anc Decides To Reconfigure Gnu As It Slams Da's 'dishonesty' And 'sabotage'

The African National Congress ANC has decided to reconfigure the government of national unity GNU .
ANC Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula , announced the decision at a media briefing on the partys National Working Committee NWC meetings outcomes on Tuesday 8 April.
ANC hits out at DAMbalula accused the Democratic Alliance DA of dishonesty and sabotage. This after the DA voted against the budgets fiscal framework in Parliament last week.
We are now deeply concerned by the conduct of the DA, whose participation in the GNU has been marred by double-dealing, negotiating and acting in bad faith, and open disdain for transformation, he said.
Mbalula also accused the DA of acting as an opposition force in the GNU against the National Health Insurance, Basic Education Laws Amendment Act BELA and Land Expropriation Act.
It seeks to divide government, confuse the public and claim credit without assuming responsibility. This dishonesty undermines the very essence of collective governance, he added.
Additionally, he claimed DA ministers have openly violated the Executive Ethics Code. He cited Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarubes failure to attend the signing of the BELA Bill as an example.
An unnamed DA minister also travelled abroad without the President's permission and misrepresented South Africa.
These are symptomatic of a party unwilling to subordinate narrow party interests to national imperatives. Such acts are a betrayal of public service and erode the GNU's credibility, the Secretary-General said.
GNU reconfigurationIn view of the recent developments in passing the budget and the persistent sabotage and bad faith, the NWC resolved that there is a need to reconfigure the GNU and reopen consultations with all GNU partners and all parties, Mbalula added.
