Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has challenged his players to prove the club's co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, wrong over his recent comments.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Ratcliffe claimed that some of the current players "are overpaid and not good enough."

He then singled out Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hjlund, Casemiro, Antony, and Andre Onana, stating: "If you look at the players we are buying this summer, that we didn't buy, we're buying Antony, we're buying Casemiro, we're buying Onana, we're buying Hjlund, we're buying Sancho.

"These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not. We've inherited those things and have to sort that out."

During his press conference on Wednesday ahead of their Europa League last-16 second leg against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford, Amorim was asked about those remarks.
