Spanish second division club Almeria are ruminating over a deal for Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar, Soccernet.ng reports.
Umar has endured a torrid past two years at Real Sociedad. The Super Eagles star left Almeria for Real Sociedad in 2022, in a six-year deal worth 20 million.
Unfortunately for him, the transfer has not worked out. He suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his first few games that ruled him out of action for the entire campaign.
Then, when he returned last season, he struggled to regain his top form. Sadiq registered just tree goals in 36 appearances across all competitions last season. And during the summer, there were strong talks linking him with a transfer to other La Liga clubs like Getafe and Alaves. However, Real Sociedad retained his services.
This season, Sadiqs situation has not improved. He has made six La Liga appearances, but he has not provided any goal contribution.
