Alleged Diamond Investment Scam Accused Makes Claims Against Minister

Fraud-accused and diamond dealer Louis Liebenberg claims he was violated at the Kgosi Mampuru Prison on the instruction of Correctional Services Minister, Pieter Groenewald.

The allegations emerged at the Bronkhorstspruit Magistrates Court, East of Pretoria, where Liebenberg and eight co-accused including his wife appeared on charges related to an alleged diamond investment scam.

The suspects were arrested in Gauteng and the North West last week.

Seven co-accused have since been granted bail.

The remaining two will now apply for bail on the 15th.
