Al Ismaily Announce Cas Ruling In Firas Chaouat Case

Al Ismaily announced that the Court of Arbitration for Sport CAS has accepted the club's appeal in the case of former player Firas Chaouat.
In an official statement, the club explained that CAS has ruled Ismaily must pay 18.2 million EGP to the Tunisian forward, significantly lower than the 45.6 million EGP initially imposed by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber on January 18, 2024.
The club stated that this reduction of 27.4 million EGP was the result of a legal appeal submitted by Ismaily's legal team to CAS on February 7, 2024, which successfully eased the financial burden on the club.
The 28-year-old striker joined Ismaily in September 2022 from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien. During the 2022/2023 season, Chaouat made 21 appearances for the club, scoring 7 goals and assisting 3 more.
