Former Borussia Dortmund striker Anthony Modeste has officially departed African champions Al Ahly.
This comes after the 36-year-olds contract with the Egyptian football powerhouse expired at the end of last month.
Modeste had joined Al Ahly in September 2023 on a free transfer from German giants Dortmund but has struggled to leave a mark during his time in Cairo.
Al Ahly club thanked the French Anthony Modeste, the first football team player, after his contract expired at the end of this month, a club statement read .
It stressed its full appreciation for Modestes commitment, effort and high spirit with his teammates throughout his presence, which contributed to winning three championships.
