Al Ahly Placed In Third Pot For Fifa Club World Cup Draw
African champions Al Ahly have been placed in the third pot for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup draw, which will take place in Miami. The third pot, which is highly competitive, includes teams such as Wydad Casablanca Morocco, Red Bull Salzburg Austria, Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, Ulsan Hyundai South Korea, Monterrey and Club Leon Mexico, and Botafogo Brazil.
The first pot is reserved for Europe and South America's top teams. Representing Europe are Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, while South America is represented by Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense, and River Plate.
The second pot consists of seven European clubs, including Juventus, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Porto, and Benfica, as well as South America's Boca Juniors.
The fourth pot features teams from Africa, Asia, and North America. Africa is represented by Esperance and Mamelodi Sundowns, while Asia has Al Ain UAE and Urawa Red Diamonds Japan. North America is represented by Seattle Sounders, Inter Miami, and Pachuca Mexico, with Auckland City being the sole representative from the Oceania Football Confederation.
The FIFA Club World Cup draw will take place at 8 PM Cairo time on Thursday, December 5. The tournament will be held in the United States, starting on June 15, 2025, in Miami, and concluding with the final in New Jersey on July 13, 2025.
