The Ministers Summit, hosted by the United Nations World Tourism Organization and the World Travel and Tourism Council, is scheduled for November 6 at the World Travel Market (WTM) London.

This event will explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies in shaping the future of travel and hospitality while addressing associated ethical considerations.

The Ministers Summit represents the biggest annual gathering of tourism ministers anywhere in the world. As such, it plays a vital role as a platform for debating key issues and finding solutions to shape the future of our industry, said Juliette Losardo , Exhibition Director of WTM London.

In its 18 th year, the summit coincides with WTMs TravelPower campaign, which focuses on tourism's potential to drive change. Ministers will discuss AI's role in improving experiences, streamlining processes and aligning with ethical standards.

Another key topic will be equitable access to AI technology to prevent further socio-economic disparities. Discussions will address ways to bridge the digital divide, ensuring all stakeholders have access to AI benefits in tourism, as highlighted in the UN Secretary-Generals report on science, technology and innovation for sustainable development.
