Agric, Manufacturing Sectors Crucial For Economic Stability Man President

In alignment with broadernational efforts on the necessity of strengthening Nigerias agricultural sector to ensure food security and economic stability, the President of the Manufacturing Association of Nigeria MAN, Francis Meshioye, has reiterated the importance of the agricultural and manufacturing sectors to the economic stability of the country.

Meshioye, who stated this at the inauguration of the Agricultural Sector Working Group ASWG in Abuja, advised that local consumption of agricultural products should be given priority before exportation of such products is considered.

He said: Talking about food security, it means that there is no gap between our needs and what is available. It is just ideal that we fulfil our hunger needs thereafter, you can give to others.

You cook your food at home, you wont give it out until you have actually been fed. So, it is the same thing. Food security is part of the agenda.
