Mohamed Salah closed the gap to just one goal behind Erling Haaland in the Premier League Golden Boot race after converting a penalty in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Manchester City at the weekend.
As of now, Haaland leads with 12 goals from 13 appearances, while Salah follows closely with 11 goals. Other notable African players in the race include Nicolas Jackson, Bryan Mbeumo, and Yoane Wissa, who all have 8 goals each.
In Germany's Bundesliga, Omar Marmoush, another Egyptian international, is also in top form, having scored 13 goals in just 12 matches for Eintracht Frankfurt, who are in second place.
