Dr. Awele Elumelu,Chairperson, Avon Medical Practice Limited and Chairperson of Heirs Insurance Brokers, has said that the insurance sector has potential to drive meaningful growth across Africa.
Elumelu stated this while giving her keynote remarks at the inaugural international conference for women in insurance organised by the Africa Insurance Women Association, AIWA, with the theme The Future of Insurance Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities.
Speaking, Elumelu said Your commitment to empowering women within our industry serves as a reminder of the importance of such initiatives in creating a more inclusive and thriving insurance landscape. We have all gathered here today because we share a commitment to our continents insurance sector, and we believe in its potential to drive meaningful growth across Africa. It means we also recognize the critical role each of us has in driving this transformation.
It goes without saying that to me, insurance is more than a financial service it is a lifeline, a pathway to living healthier, more resilient lives.
