Recent winners Les Amis and Ngaoundere FC will stage an exciting clash and Ngaoundere derby semi-final this afternoon The two semis will produce winners for Sundays final to determine the champions of the Adamawa region The final of the Adamawa Regional championship will be played at the Stade Ndoumbe Oumar this Sunday to determine the club that will represent Adamawa at the Interpols The two semi-final matches of the 2024 Adamawa Regional championship will be played this afternoon at varied venues across the Region. 2020 Champions Les Amis du Ngaoundere will face last years winners, Ngaoundere FC in a pulsating semi final contest at the historic Stade Ndoumbe Oumar in Ngaoundere. Ngaoundere FC saw off AS Meiganga in the quarter-final last Wednesday to earn a last four berth, while Les Amis were too good for AS Sante. On the basis of what both sides have shown this season, the 2pm kick-off is worthy of the final of the championship. Unfortunately for both teams, they are locked in the final before the final. Elsewhere, Olympique Meiganga that are multiple champions of the Adamawa region with a rich interpools history will welcome Girondins FC in the other semi-final match to get underway at the same time at the Stade de Dang in in the Regions headquarters. Girondins outclassed Dynamo FC in the their last eight match up while Olympique Meiganga assured their stay in the competition by elimination of Alco FC. Through challenging circumstances, the Adamawa Regional championship has stood the test of time this season and is on course to deliver its champions on Sunday via a clash of the two winners of the semi-final matches. The Stade Ndoumbe Oumar will host Sundays final to determine Regional champion and representative at the 2024 national playoffs scheduled to get underway on July 1st. Last seasons champions, Ngaoundere FC failed to secure qualification to Elite Two via the national playoffs. The region will be hopeful the next champion can secure promotion and end their two seasons wait for an Elite status club as was the case before the relegation of Ngaoundere FC in 2022. In the meantime, the draw of clubs in the 2024 national interpools will be conducted today at the headquarters of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) though only West Regional and Far North Regional championships have produced their champions in Volcan of Noun and Sporting Maroua respectively.
