Acsa Expecting Over 20 000 Passengers At Various Airports On Friday
Airports across South Africa are experiencing their busiest travel period of the year, with the Airports Company South Africa ACSA anticipating over 20,000 passengers to pass through the countrys airports this Friday.
ACSA, which manages nine airports including Cape Town International, King Shaka International, and OR Tambo International, has recently faced challenges such as fuel supply issues and biometric system glitches. However, to accommodate the surge in travellers, the company has implemented several measures, including increased staffing, enhanced security, and streamlined procedures to reduce delays.
Boitumelo Msimango, who is travelling from Cape Town, shared her excitement "I'm so excited, and we are promoting local tourism. I'm heading to Limpopo to support Makhadzi tomorrow at her performance. However, what I think needs improvement is the flexibility of the queues for domestic flights. We've seen long lines, and it would be great if technology could help smooth the process, allowing us to move efficiently and get to our destinations safely."
