As April approaches, South Africa prepares to amplify its deep-rooted jazz heritage through a heartfelt tribute at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival CTIJF, scheduled for April 25 and 26 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Jazz is about freedom, expression, and identity,' says Marlene le Roux, chief executive officer of the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town, as she reflected on jazzs historical significance, linking it to the struggle for freedom during the anti-apartheid era.

Recognised as Africas Grandest Gathering, the CTIJF has become a cornerstone in the annual music calendar.
