8 People Killed, One Critically, In Crash On N2 In Mandeni, Kzn

Eight people have been killed in a collision between a car and a truck on the N2 near Mandeni in KwaZulu-Natal north coast on Friday morning.

The truck driver, who is reportedly in critical condition, has been taken to hospital.

Road Traffic Inspectorate spokesperson Sindi Msimang says all emergency services are on the scene.

Part of the N2 has been closed.

IPSS Paramedics spokesperson Samantha Meyrick says, We have at least 8 confirmed dead and one critically injured on the scene. This is a developing story as search and rescue personnel continue with the search for children who are suspected to be missing. N2 is currently closed in both directions between bridges and 18 and 19 on the north coast.
