City of Miami firefighters responded to an apartment building Friday morning after flames erupted inside a unit.
According to Lt. Pete Sanchez, the fire was reported just after 10 a.m. at 8450 NE Miami Ct.
"On arrival, crews found a two-story residential garden style apartment complex with heavy smoke and flames showing from the first floor," Sanchez said in an email to Local 10 News. "Immediately, the incident was upgraded to a Code 1 working fire dispatching additional resources."
According to Sanchez, firefighters extended hose lines and went into the building to attack the flames and search for any victims.
He said the building was deemed all clear and the fire was under control within 15 minutes.
