Police in KwaZulu-Natal have arrested a 44-year-old foreign national in connection with drug dealing in Umbilo, Durban.
The arrest took place during a search and seizure operation at a flat on Melbourne Road, following intelligence gathered on suspected illegal activities in the area.
Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda provided details on the arrest. When the police pounced at the flat, the suspect was found in possession of heroin powder, as well as bricks and broken full moons of rock cocaine. The recovered drugs are estimated to be worth a street value of just over half a million rand.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrates Court, facing charges of dealing in drugs.
