No fewer than 10,517 persons have been deployed for the local government and ward elections scheduled to hold in Cross River State on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission CROSIEC, Dr. Ekong Edet Boco, at their office in Calabar.
He stated that 9,843 ad hoc staff have been trained, with three of these staff members assigned to each of the 3,281 INEC-recognized polling units across the 18 LGAs of the state.
In addition, 460 supervisors, 18 returning officers, and 196 collation officers were trained and will be involved in the elections.
Boco debunked rumours that the election results had already been predetermined.
