1 Of 3 Prominent Alexander Brothers Accused Of Rape Appears In Miami Courtroom

A pre-trial detention hearing took place at the Miami federal courthouse Monday for Alon Alexander, the brother of two real estate moguls charged with federal sex crimes.

Alon Alexander's lawyer attempted to persuade a judge to release him ahead of his impending trial.

The central question is whether Alon Alexander will await trial at home or in jail as the case progresses.

His brother Oren was also present at the hearing.

"They've never been convicted of anything," defense attorney Howard Srenick said.
