Homicide detectives were investigating a fatal shooting early Saturday morning in Sunrise.
Long sheets of blue plastic surrounded a body near a blue "3801-3701" sign in a parking lot at Hooters, along North University Drive. According to the Sunrise Police Department, a male had suffered a gunshot wound and died.
Sunrise police officers responded to the Springtree Country Club Plaza, at 3801 Nort University Drive, the home of the Goldfinger nightclub, which usually opens at midnight and closes at 4 a.m.
Hooters and the neighboring J.D.'s Bar had already closed before the shooting.
