1 502 Killed On Sa Roads During Festive Season: Creecy
Transport Minister, Barbara Creecy says 1 502 people have died on the country roads during the festive season.
The deaths resulted from 1234 collisions , an increase from last years 1427.
Six provinces including KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State, Limpopo, Northern Cape, and North West-recorded increases in road deaths, while Gauteng, Western Cape, and Mpumalanga saw decreases.
Creexy released the 2024/2025 festive seasons road safety report in Pretoria.
She says the increase is regrettable.
